This glossary collects reusable terms for product, service, and sales guidance.
Good Driver Club¶
Good Driver Club is the name of the auto loss sharing program operated and managed by Good Driver Mutuality.
Good Driver Mutuality¶
Good Driver Mutuality is the company that operates and manages the Good Driver Club program.
GDC Plan¶
A GDC Plan is the member's plan for a participating vehicle during the effective period. One vehicle equals one Plan.
Pledge Amount¶
Pledge Amount is the maximum sharing amount a member is committed to share during one effective period of the GDC Plan. It equals 80% of the quote price and is not paid upfront.
Remaining Pledge Balance¶
Remaining Pledge Balance is the remaining amount of a member's pledge available during the plan period. It is reduced by weekly sharing and by the member's own use of RPB when the member experiences an eligible event.
Out-of-Pocket Amount¶
Out-of-Pocket Amount refers to a fixed amount that the applicant is responsible for paying as their portion of the loss amount for each Eligible Event. GDC currently offers default options of $250, $500, and $1,000, and may match other out-of-pocket amounts from the uploaded policy.
Eligible Event¶
An Eligible Event is an incident that qualifies for submitting a sharing request after review under GDC criteria.
Authorized Sharing Amount¶
Authorized Sharing Amount is the amount eligible for community sharing after applying the relevant loss assessment, member responsibility, remaining pledge balance, out-of-pocket amount, and program limits.
Referrer¶
Referrer is the starting Promoter status. A Referrer has eligibility to refer potential members to enroll in a Plan and to earn direct referral commissions and points after meeting applicable requirements.
Affiliate¶
Affiliate is an advanced status a Referrer may apply for after signing the Affiliate Application and Agreement and meeting the L1 upgrade criteria. Affiliates may be eligible for a broader range of commissions and benefits.
Paid-As Title¶
Paid-As Title is the title basis used to calculate and pay a Promoter's commissions. It cannot exceed Lifetime Title and may be lower depending on monthly team performance requirements.
Lifetime Title¶
Lifetime Title is the highest Affiliate Level an individual or Business Entity has ever achieved, unless the Affiliate's status is terminated.
