Levels, Paid-As Title, and Maintenance

This page collects Affiliate level rules, upgrade requirements, active requirements, Paid-As Title maintenance, and downgrade/invalidity rules.

Level categories

Affiliate Level is the personal level of the Affiliate and follows the upgrade rules.

Team Level is the highest Affiliate Level, L1-L9, attained by any Promoter within that Promoter's Team.

Effective as of May 1, 2026, the program uses:

  • Lifetime Title: the highest Affiliate Level an individual or Business Entity has ever achieved, unless Affiliate status is terminated.
  • Paid-As Title: the title basis used to calculate and pay commissions. Paid-As Title cannot exceed Lifetime Title and may be lower depending on monthly Team Plan Enrollment Requirements.

Commissions are calculated and paid based on current Paid-As Title.

Upgrade requirements

All Promoters start as Referrer.

To become L1, all four criteria must be met:

  • 5 valid directly referred Plans, including effective and pending effective Plans.
  • Pay a $9.90 Affiliate enrollment fee.
  • Apply to become an Affiliate by signing the Affiliate Application and Agreement and incorporated agreements.
  • Review learning material and pass the online Affiliate Quiz.

For L2-L9, affiliates need 5 valid directly referred Plans plus points and branch contribution limits:

Level Points required Maximum contribution from one branch
L2 10,000 70%
L3 25,000 70%
L4 62,500 70%
L5 150,000 50%
L6 375,000 50%
L7 900,000 50%
L8 2,250,000 50%
L9 6,000,000 50%

The levels are upgraded sequentially.

Upgrades take effect immediately once the applicable upgrade requirements are met.

Active requirement for Affiliate eligibility

Effective as of May 1, 2026, an Affiliate must complete at least one new direct referral within any rolling two-calendar-month period to remain Active for the following calendar month.

During the monthly evaluation on the 7th day of a month, the system determines Active status based on whether the Affiliate completed at least one new direct referral during the two full calendar months immediately before the evaluation date.

After qualifying for L1, an Affiliate who completes 8 new direct referrals within any rolling 12-calendar-month period is deemed to satisfy the direct referral requirement. The 5 direct referrals used to qualify for L1 are excluded from those 8 referrals.

Active 20 Exemption:

  • If an Affiliate maintains at least 20 active and effective direct referred Mutuality Plans, the Affiliate is exempt from the standard direct referral requirements.
  • If active direct referred Mutuality Plans drop below 20, an Exemption Buffer Period covers the remainder of that calendar month plus the following calendar month.
  • If the Affiliate restores at least 20 active and fully effective direct referred Mutuality Plans by the re-evaluation date, the exemption continues.
  • If not restored, the standard active requirement applies.
  • If an Affiliate has used an Exemption Buffer Period during the preceding two calendar months, no new buffer period is granted.

If an Affiliate fails the active requirement, the Affiliate becomes Inactive effective the following month. During Inactive status, Paid-As Title is canceled and the Affiliate is not eligible for commissions, bonuses, upgrade points, or other Affiliate rewards, but may still receive direct referral rewards as a Referrer.

Upon completing 1 new direct referral, the Affiliate can be restored to Active status. After reactivation, the 2-calendar-month direct referral requirement applies again immediately.

Team Plan Requirement for Paid-As Title

To maintain a Paid-As Title equivalent to Lifetime Title, an Affiliate must meet monthly team Plan enrollment requirements.

If an Affiliate does not meet the applicable team requirement, Paid-As Title for the new month is adjusted to the equivalent level the actual Plan performance qualifies for. Paid-As Title is reviewed on the 7th of each month based on the previous calendar month's team performance.

Upon advancing to a higher Lifetime Title, the Affiliate keeps the newly earned Paid-As Title for the calendar month in which it is earned and the next two calendar months. During this grace period, the Affiliate is exempt from team requirements for that Paid-As Title but must still meet direct referral requirements to remain Active.

Monthly team Plan requirements:

Paid-As Title Team Plans required
L1 No team Plan required
L2 3
L3 6
L4 15
L5 30
L6 60
L7 120
L8 240
L9 480

For calculating Team Plans Requirement, the maximum contribution recognized from any one Branch is 70% of the required team sales.

Periodic assessments and permanent revocation

Affiliates must pass two periodic assessments after obtaining Affiliate status:

  • First assessment: after one year of becoming L1.
  • Second assessment: after two years of becoming L1.

The first assessment requires at least one of the following:

  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans directly referred by the Affiliate is at least 70%.
  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans directly referred by the Affiliate's direct downlines is at least 70%.
  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans accumulated by the team is at least 70%.

The second assessment requires at least one of the following:

  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans directly referred by the Affiliate is at least 60%.
  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans directly referred by the Affiliate's direct downlines is at least 60%.
  • Long-term Retention Rate of all Plans accumulated by the team is at least 60%.

Failure of either assessment permanently revokes Affiliate status and level.

Affiliate Status also becomes permanently invalid under conditions including voluntary withdrawal of Affiliate status, retention-rate failures, failure to pay annual renewal fee or earn any commission for 6 consecutive months, and violation of relevant regulations in the Good Driver Club Program Statement of Policies and Procedures.
