This page collects app access, account, login, PIN, privacy, notification, support, and user-setting information.

App access and login methods

Users can download the Good Driver Club mobile app from the App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android.

Currently, users can sign up for the GDC App using a phone number and log in with phone number verification codes. The platform previously supported registration by email or phone number; users who originally signed up using email can still log in with email.

GDC is primarily designed for the mobile app. A web version is available at https://h5.gooddriver.ai/pc.html, but it currently supports limited features.

Users can update their login phone number and email address in the GDC app by opening the profile page and selecting Update Login Methods.

PIN and personal information security

Users create a 6-digit PIN during enrollment. The PIN is used to locally encrypt private information so that no parties, including GDC developers, can access the user's private details.

The GDC App encrypts and stores personal information locally. Unless the user specifically authorizes it, no one can decrypt the information. The 6-digit PIN protects a complex private key used for encryption.

If a user forgets the PIN, they can reset it when a PIN entry page appears by selecting Reset below the input field. Once the planholder's driver's license is uploaded and verified, a new PIN can be set.

Users are encouraged to keep the PIN confidential and not show it to others.

Locked and changeable plan details after payment

After paying the service fee to join the GDC Plan, users cannot modify their Primary Address themselves in the GDC App.

Address changes are currently not supported, and this will not affect the mutual aid plan.

Once the service fee is paid, most details of the GDC Plan, including service scope and planholder, are locked and cannot be changed. Users can update the linked bank card for weekly sharing payment and the bank account used for referral commission withdrawals.

Product features and platform metrics

The Good Driving feature tracks and assesses driving behaviors through the GDC mobile application. It analyzes behaviors such as hard turning, distractive driving, and hard braking.

Good Driving Score is generated from driving behavior and compares behavior against historical data from other drivers. It might be used in the future as a factor in determining the amount of quote and sharing amount under GDC.

Members can choose to use the Good Driving feature manually or automatically, depending on mobile phone permissions and user choice.

GDC currently does not have a parent monitoring feature for teens. GDC may consider community feedback for future development.

Average Days to Expiration refers to the average number of days left until expiration of all currently active GDC Plans, using a weighted average algorithm.

UID stands for User Identifier, a unique ID automatically generated by the system to identify each user on the platform.

Notifications and where to find plan information

Members receive email and app notifications when a GDC Plan becomes effective.

Whenever accident handling advances to a new stage after a sharing request is submitted, there will be both a confirmation email and app notification.

Members can see cumulative sharing contributions, remaining pledge amount, savings, and other important information in real time within the GDC app.

The public weekly announcement can be found in the Transparency tab under Announcements. Members can click each event for details and can view past announcements.

The effective date and effective period can be checked in the plan details page from the Service tab by selecting the corresponding plan card.

Plan details can be checked from the Dashboard tab by selecting a plan card.

Weekly sharing amount is sent by email or text message every Monday. Members can also check it in the GDC app by going to Dashboard, selecting a plan, and opening Sharing History.

Support and learning more

New users currently cannot skip the quote flow to view more in-app content.

Support is available in English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese. Other languages are not supported at this time.
