Overview, Status, and Eligibility

This page explains Referrer and Affiliate status, eligibility, account rules, and business-entity participation.

Promoter, Referrer, and Affiliate

To start promoting, an individual or Business Entity first becomes a Referrer. A Promoter is an individual or Business Entity who holds valid invitation capability.

Promoters are categorized by two statuses:

  • Referrer.
  • Affiliate.

All Promoters start as Referrers. Referrer Status confers eligibility to refer potential members to enroll in the Plan and earn direct referral commissions and points. A Referrer is required to sign Referrer Program Terms and Conditions.

Affiliate Status is an advanced status applied by a Referrer after signing the Affiliate Application and Agreement and meeting the upgrade criteria for L1 Affiliate level. A Referrer may choose not to become an Affiliate even if qualified.

An Affiliate is eligible to earn all Referral Rewards and may be eligible for a broader range of commissions and benefits associated with the L1-L9 hierarchy.

Invitation capability

Invitation capability can be obtained through one of two methods:

  • Joining or renewing a Plan.
  • Using an invitation card to participate and pass the Invitation Capability Quiz.

Each Affiliate receives one invitation card upon upgrading to L1. Each subsequent upgrade replenishes the remaining number of invitation cards to one if the previously issued card has been used.

If a direct downline becomes a Promoter by using someone's invitation card and later upgrades to L1, the Affiliate who gave out the card obtains a new invitation card if that Affiliate does not maintain any invitation card at hand.

Invitation Capability Quiz is the mechanism through which an individual or Business Entity may obtain Referrer Status without joining the Plan. For a Business Entity, the chief executive officer or equivalent must take the quiz.

Users can check whether invitation capability is active or expired in the GDC app Affiliate page. If active, the exact expiration date is shown.

If someone joined with an invitation card and does not have a GDC Plan under the account, the person can add a GDC Plan later.

Individual, minor, and business-entity eligibility

Affiliates must be at least 18 years old. Minors can only be added as co-drivers, not as a Member, Referrer, or Affiliate.

A corporation may be a Referrer or Affiliate as a Business Entity if it meets applicable requirements.

For a Referrer, a corporation, LLC, partnership, or trust may participate as a Business Entity. It must submit a completed Referrer Application & Agreement, Business Entity Registration Form, required formation documents, and satisfy other applicable Referrer requirements.

For an Affiliate, the corporation must be duly organized, validly existing, and in good standing. It must first be a Company Referrer that has met criteria for upgrading to L1 Affiliate, submit a completed and signed Affiliate Application & Agreement, pay the $9.90 Affiliate enrollment fee, provide an eligible email address, and satisfy other applicable requirements.

Affiliate application and annual fee

To obtain Affiliate Status, a Referrer must:

  • Meet all L1 Affiliate upgrade criteria.
  • Apply to become an Affiliate by signing the Affiliate Application and Agreement and incorporated agreements.
  • Pay an initial $9.90 Affiliate enrollment fee.
  • Review learning material and pass the online Affiliate Quiz.

To maintain valid Affiliate Status, an annual renewal fee of $9.90 is required. It is due each year on the anniversary of the date the Affiliate first achieved L1 status and is charged automatically to the designated payment instrument.

If the automatic charge fails, or the Affiliate objects to the automatic charge, failure to pay the annual renewal fee by the due date and 15 days beyond the due date results in Affiliate Status becoming invalid.

Affiliate Status can be restored by paying the outstanding annual renewal fee within 15 days after the due date if no permanent revocation condition is triggered. If the fee is not paid within 15 days after the due date, the Affiliate Agreement and independent business are automatically terminated.

GDC accounts, including Member, Referrer, and Affiliate accounts, do not support buying, selling, or transfer.

GDC does not provide affiliates with insurance of any kind. Some affiliates may choose to buy their own insurance, including Errors and Omissions insurance. Affiliates should consult their own insurer about appropriate policy types.

Training, exams, and promotion before plan effectiveness

After paying the service fee, a member can invite others to join as a Referrer and earn commissions even if the GDC Plan has not yet taken effect.

Individuals do not need an SSN to sign up as a member. Referrers and Affiliates may need to provide tax information when annual cumulative withdrawal amount exceeds $600.

There are two different exams:

  • Invitation Qualification Exam: for a non-member individual with an invitation card to become a Referrer.
  • Affiliate Qualification Exam: for a Referrer to upgrade to L1 Affiliate after meeting other upgrade criteria.

The L1 exam can be found in the GDC App under Invites, then Ongoing Tasks, then the Upgrade to L1 task card.
