Sensitive Questions and Careful Responses

This page collects guidance for questions that need especially careful answers. Use the wording conservatively and avoid adding claims beyond what is stated here.

If all pledges are insufficient or loss cannot be guaranteed

Do not say "cover" in the insurance sense. GDC Plan is described as donation behavior by members to help with other members' losses.

Good Driver Mutuality Inc. made a $2 million pledge to better help the program grow during the initial stage. If all members' weekly sharing contributions are not enough, up to 7.5% of the $2 million pledge may contribute to member losses, equal to $150,000 per week until the $2 million pledge goes to zero.

If combined remaining pledge balance from members and the platform are insufficient, available total sharing contributions are allocated pro rata among members for that Sharing Cycle. The member requesting support would be individually liable for any shortfall.

GDC cannot promise to indemnify. Members should not expect a 100% guarantee that their losses can be included or handled.

Explaining platform economics

GDC charges a 20% flat service fee and does not make profits from members' loss.

GDC invests heavily in user acquisition costs, commissions, technology development, and other operational costs with equity investor funding because the company believes it can reduce costs for members and build a great product with long-term profit potential.

Use approved wording

Platform economics statements are sensitive. Use approved wording before discussing them externally.

Responding to pyramid-scheme claims or bad reviews

GDC is not a pyramid scheme and recognizes the differences between network marketing and pyramid schemes.

It gives these points:

  • GDC is a real product with utility and is designed to save costs for members.
  • It creates social value by encouraging members to drive safely and avoid accidents.
  • GDC invests heavily in technology, operation, and member growth, more than the 20% service fee collected.
  • Commissions are calculated based on quote price, rather than recruitment of members alone.

The current response advises not engaging with materials that call GDC a pyramid scheme.

Use approved wording

This topic is reputation-sensitive. Use only approved language when responding externally.

Earnings claims and fraud

When an Affiliate discusses earnings from GDC, the company requires testimonials, social media posts, presentations, and similar materials to include a variation of:

This is my unique story, as actual earnings can vary significantly as no income is guaranteed. But for typical earnings averages please click here

The word "here" should link to the IDS Income Disclosure Statement: https://h5.gooddriver.ai/terms/Income-Disclaimer.pdf.

Fake referrals are prohibited. Creating fake information or using other people's information without permission to sign up for GDC can result in cancellation of invitation qualification, return of rewards obtained, revocation of affiliate status, and termination of business relationship.

Tax guidance caution

Tax information is for reference only, and each person should consult their own tax advisor.

Referrers and Affiliates must provide W-9 information when annual cumulative withdrawals exceed $600, while ordinary members do not provide tax information for joining beyond minimal identity information such as driver's license for quote verification.
